Welcome!
I guess the first thing I should do is introduce myself - my name is Maria and I am based in Beautiful British Columbia. I am a self-proclaimed adventure enthusiast; the kind of person who would get on a plane to just about anywhere with little notice. It takes a lot for me to say no to an adventure no matter how remote, rugged, or last minute it may be. That being said, I am also the kind of person who will make a spreadsheet with every detail two months out from a trip - it’s all about balance.
I am lucky enough to call two beautiful countries home. I was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to Vancouver, Canada as a kid. I am fluent in Spanish and could spend every day on the beach eating tropical fruit, yet I am equally mesmerized by snowcapped mountains and the magic of changing seasons. I am truly a mix of both my homes and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I never used to consider myself a creative person. But, although I have never pursued it, I’ve always loved storytelling whether that be through photography, videos, writing, or travel. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized how passionate I am about seeing as much of this planet as I can, both for the natural beauty as well as the opportunity to connect with the people I share it with. I’ve also realized creativity comes in many forms. I am an avid hiker and traveler and am passionate about preserving the planet for generations to come.
